Chocolate & Accessories

Chocolate (the best bit!)

Our hire fountains come with a supply of high quality milk chocolate, a taste which suits the majority of our customers just love! We can also offer dark, white or Belgian chocolate (there may be an additional charge for some chocolate, please contact us for details). However you need to consider the following:

  • 92% of people prefer milk chocolate.
  • White chocolate is much sweeter than other varieties and therefore people tend to eat much less, particularly when you are dipping sweet foods such as marshmallows.
  • White chocolate is more difficult to melt than dark or milk due to the high sugar content. We also recommend you purchase extra cocoa buter to ensure it flows smoothly.
  • For larger events a popular option is to have two Party Fountains in operation; one with milk chocolate and one with dark.

Please note - due to manufacturing processes all chocolate may contain traces of nuts.

Chocolate to buy for mini fountains and making home-made chocolates

You can choose from a range of delicious quality chocolate in 1kg bags for use in your own fondue fountain (standard shop-bought chocolate bars will not work properly in a chocolate fountain).

For those of you who like your chocolate with a richer, more intense flavour we also have Belgian chocolate. This chocolate contains a higher percentage of cocoa solids than our standard (Cadbury's) chocolate, it is also certified as 100% kosher. While some companies say that Belgian chocolate is better than any other, 'good' chocolate is the taste that you like best (and Cadbury's sells more chocolate than any other manufacturer in Australia).

If you wish to buy chocolate for making home-made chocolates we would advise using only our standard chocolate, unless you are confident with the tempering process. For more information about this go to our chocolate making page.

Visit our online store for prices and details of all our chocolate range, we can deliver throughout Australia.

chocolate for mini fountains

Make sure your chocolate flows perfectly.

The chocolate in a fountain needs to be thinned in order to flow correctly. This was traditionally achieved by adding vegetable or canola oil. While this works perfectly, some people aren't keen on the idea of adding oil or say they can taste it in the chocolate.

Chocolate already contains cocoa butter so adding more is a perfect way to achieve the required viscosity. Our cocoa butter comes in simple to use pre-portioned packs which contain sufficient to thin 1kg of chocolate. Please note, if you opt for our 'buy two get one free' offer on chocolate this does not apply to the cocoa butter, you will still need to purchase three packs of cocoa butter.
